Background:

Brian DeRosier is the President of DeRosier & Associates. Brian has worked in the financial services industry since 1990, which includes 13 years with Olmsted and Associates as a financial planner and advisor, prior to launching DeRosier & Associates in May of 2003. Brian’s clients appreciate the stability and reliability of his practice. This, along with providing quality investment advice and financial planning for families in Brainerd and the surrounding communities are just a few of the reasons why clients, with confidence, refer those they care about most to DeRosier & Associates. Personal Information:
Brian was born and raised on a beef cattle farm south of Brainerd and is a life-long resident of the Brainerd Lakes. He and his wife Lynn, and their daughter Delaney reside in the Fort Ripley area, south of Brainerd, MN. Brian is a 1986 graduate of Brainerd Senior High School and a 1990 Graduate of Seattle Pacific University where he served as the V.P. of Finance of the Student Body from 1988 -1990.  Brian enjoys time with his family whether it is hearing a message from Eaglebrook, spending time in the woods, on the water, or watching a good history documentary.

Eric Nesheim is an Associate and Financial Advisor at DeRosier & Associates.  He joined the firm in the summer of 2012.  Before coming to D & A, Eric worked as a Claims Specialist in the insurance industry for over 18 years.  As an avid investor and one of Brian’s first clients, he wanted to combine his interest in the investment field with his background in service with a career that would allow him more time at home. D & A clients appreciate Eric’s methodical and candid approach to their investment and retirement planning.  

Eric and his wife Karla are lifelong residents of the Brainerd Lakes area.  Eric graduated from Brainerd High School in 1985 and Brainerd Community College (Central Lakes College) in 1987. He graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a Major in Marketing and a Minor in Speech Communications. Eric grew up helping his family operate their small business, Nesheim Bait and Tackle, a wholesale and retail bait business and fish hatchery. Nesheim Bait was inducted into the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame in 2025.

Personal Information:
Eric and Karla, along with their dog Kirby, continue to call Baxter their home after raising their two children, Sam and Sarah. They are members of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Eric is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, and spending time at their family cabin in Ely Minnesota. He also likes to travel, read, and cheer on Minnesota’s sports teams. 

Background:

Carrie Kadelbach is the Operations Manager at DeRosier & Associates. Carrie joined the firm in December of 2017. Prior to joining the team, Carrie had worked in the financial services industry for 8 years. She spent 4 years as a teller and customer service representative at Northern National Bank in Baxter and Brainerd. Carrie assisted customers with money market, IRA, HSA and CD accounts. Carrie gained additional experience as an Operations Specialist at Ascensus in Brainerd. In the 4 years she was employed by Ascensus, the largest independent retirement, health and college savings service provider in the US, she processed various transactions related to 401K & 403B accounts. Carrie quickly proved to be a leader in her role with Ascensus. She became the associate onboarding trainer for her team and was a go-to for all questions related to process, procedures and systems. She was nominated twice for a prestigious annual award, recognizing superior quality, service and integrity. In addition to advanced customer service, Carrie’s duties also include opening new accounts, account transfers, moving money for clients, and 401k retirement plan service.

Personal Information:                                                                                                                                                                                             Carrie was born and raised in the Brainerd/Baxter area. She and her husband Curt currently reside in Baxter. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, golfing, and attending music concerts and sporting events. They are proud owners of Minnesota Vikings season tickets. Skol Vikes!



Background:
Renee LeBlanc joined DeRosier & Associates as a Client Services Representative in July 2017. Renee has 25 years of office experience in the Brainerd Lakes Area. She spent over 20 years with “Just for Kix”. In addition to handling the front desk duties she tracked registrations and payments for participants at dance camps around the country. Most recently she worked at Goldleaf Partners, a third party record keeper for 401k and retirement plans. In addition to her receptionist duties, Renee also handled electronic filing and report distributions.

Personal Information:

Renee and her husband Dave currently reside in Baxter. They enjoy traveling and spending time fishing at their cabin in Northern Minnesota.



Background:

Riley DeRosier is a junior advisor in training at DeRosier & Associates, a Brainerd Lakes–based wealth management firm founded in 2003. Working alongside two senior advisors who combine for six decades of financial-services experience, Riley is developing expertise in retirement planning, investment management, and personalized wealth strategies.

A lifelong resident of the Brainerd Lakes area, Riley graduated from Brainerd High School in 2022 after years of competing in football, hockey, wrestling, and baseball. Outside the classroom and athletics, he spent his time fishing, umpiring youth baseball, and supervising the Baxter Parks & Recreation fields.

Riley earned a Bachelor of Accounting with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Global Business from Saint John’s University, where he was a four-year football student-athlete graduating Egregia cum laude. He was a founding member of the university’s student-led endowment fund, helping guide early capital allocations and governance. His academic achievements also led to induction into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society for exceptional performance in business studies.

Riley is a lifelong resident of the Brainerd Lakes area and values the strong community ties that shaped his upbringing. When he’s not working with clients or studying for his advisory credentials, he can often be found fishing on local lakes, hunting, or spending time outdoors. His background in athletics and community involvement continues to influence his work ethic, leadership style, and commitment to serving families throughout the Brainerd Lakes region.
